On March 1st officers responded to a report of an assault in the area of North Gaillard and West Jack. Upon arrival, officers contacted the complainant who advised he was riding his bike down the street when a white Nissan Versa drove by and him and his bicycle, knocking the complainant off his bike and onto a parked car. The driver of the vehicle reportedly then goes down the street, turns around and targets the complainant again, striking him a second time. Officers would learn that the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Eva Michel of Baytown, had accused the complainant of stealing her wallet earlier in the day and was apparently upset with the complainant, who denied stealing the wallet. Officers were able to talk to witnesses on the scene who were able to corroborate the complainant’s story and as such, they traveled to the residence of Ms. Michel where she was located and taken into custody and transported to the Baytown Jail where she was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The complainant was not seriously injured.
