On April 27th at 5:49 p.m., officers responded to a major accident in the 4000 block of North State Highway 146. Upon arrival officers found a single-vehicle crash involving a Ford F-150 pickup truck, rolled over and resting off the roadway in a vacant lot between the feeder road and the Hunters Ridge subdivision. During the course of the initial investigation, officers determined the F-150 was traveling southbound on Hwy 146 when it suddenly swerved to the right as if attempting to avoid a collision. This swerving caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle, which subsequently rolled over and ejected the driver. The driver, a 36-year-old Baytown man who was conscious and alert, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Baytown Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
