Suspicious vehicle stop led into an arrest of two suspects

On April 18^th at 4:47 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of the Marina Club Apartment complex when they came upon a suspicious vehicle stopped in the complex. As officers approached the car they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers contacted the two occupants of the vehicle, identified as 22 year old Daniel Tavian and 21 year old Perry Mouton. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana as well as two handguns, one in the driver side door and one in the passenger side door. Both Tavian and Mouton were placed under arrest and transported to the Baytown Jail where they were both booked on charges of  Unlawful Carrying a Weapon.
