The suspect had an outstanding felony warrant but a new Felony charge of Assault Family Violence-Impeding Breathing

On April 18th at 12:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Marian.  Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant and noticed she had blood on her face and visible injuries to her face.  Officers would go on to learn that she and her and her boyfriend, identified as 39 year old Daniel Baltrush, were involved in an altercation and during that altercation Daniel physically assaulted the complainant, by hitting, biting and choking the complainant.

The complainant was eventually able to escape the residence and make her way to a neighbor’s residence where she called the police. While on scene officers learned that Daniel already had an outstanding Felony warrant for Assault Family Violence and as such Daniel was ultimately taken into custody and transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on the outstanding warrant as well as an additional new Felony charge of Assault Family Violence-Impeding Breathing.
