Warrants, not wearing a seatbelt and drugs found on a traffic stop in the 300 block of Daniel

On April 16^th at 4:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 300 block of Daniel. During the course of the stop one of the passengers, identified as Joaquin Andrade, was found to have active local warrants and was placed under arrest. The driver, identified as Margarita Ortiz was found to not have a valid driver’s license, nor was she wearing a seat belt at the time of the stop, therefore she was also placed under arrest for No Driver’s License and No Seatbelt. During a search of the vehicle officers located a small baggy of marijuana under the rear seat arm rest and as a result the rear passenger, identified as Rogelio Benevides was also placed under arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three were transported to the Baytown Jail and booked.
