Liberty County Ambulance vs Honda SUV

On May 26th at 2:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of an accident in the 5000 block of North Main involving a Liberty County Ambulance and a Honda SUV. During the course of the investigation officers determined that the ambulance was traveling south on Main Street with its emergency lights on as it was in the process of transporting a cardiac patient to the Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital. The SUV was traveling east on West Cedar Bayou Lynchburg and entered into the intersection of Main Street and West Cedar Bayou Lynchburg where it struck the ambulance on the passenger side, effectively T-boning the ambulance. The driver of the SUV was cited for Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle. There were no injuries caused by the crash, the patient on board the ambulance was however transported on to the hospital however his condition is unknown at this time.
