On May 12th officers at 10:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery of an individual in the 99 block of West Cedar Bayou Lynchburg. Upon arrival, officers contacted the complainant who advised he was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by several Hispanic males, three of which were displaying handguns. The suspects forced the complainant to the ground and took his car keys and his phone. Two suspects fled in the suspect’s vehicle while the others fled on foot, possibly to a waiting car. A short time later responding officers located the stolen vehicle on Massey Tompkins occupied by a single male. Officers conducted a stop of the vehicle and took the driver, identified as 18-year-old Thomas Jimenez of Baytown into custody, the other suspects were not located. Jimenez was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Controlled Substance. Detectives are investigating to determine the identity of the other suspects and if any further charges may be filed.
