Harris County DA Office accepted charges against Juan Vasquez of Baytown

On May 13th at 2:19 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary at an apartment in the 4600 block of Village Lane. Upon arrival officers learned that the suspect, identified as 32 year old Juan Vasquez of Baytown, had broken a window out of the apartment and entered the apartment. The Complainant heard the window break and went into his three year old son’s room to investigate and found Juan standing in his son’s room. The complainant got into a physical altercation with Juan before Juan fled the apartment. Responding  officers located Juan running through the complex and he was taken into custody. During the course of the investigation officers learned that Juan, who appeared intoxicated, had commented to the complainant that he had gotten the wrong apartment. Officers also learned that Juan was the ex-boyfriend of one of the complainant’s neighbors and had been sending threatening messages to his ex-girlfriend. Officers contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and advised them of the facts of the case at which time charges of Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault were accepted on Juan. Juan was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on those charges.
