On May 13th officers contacted several subjects in the 3300 block of Illinois for traffic violations. One of the subjects a 16 year old male was detained by officers and as the officers were trying to have him sit on the curb, one of the other subjects, identified as 18 year old Tommy Lopez, began shouting and trying to incite the other subjects in an effort to give the officers problems. At the same time a 25 year old female relative of the two males began became belligerent, shouting profanities and interfering with the officers who were dealing with the two males, forcing officers to place her into custody as well. Neither Tommy nor the female would cooperate with officers and follow their commands to stay back and not interfere with the officers. Officers ultimately placed Tommy under arrest and transported him to the Baytown Jail where he was charged with Interfering with Public Duties through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the female was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Identify.
