On Wednesday, June 24th at 12:57 p.m., Baytown police responded to the 3700 block of Garth Road in reference to a trespasser. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the apartment manager who said Patrick Hatter was not supposed to be on location because he was involved in an assault and burglary of an apartment the day before. The officer found Patrick nearby and asked if he could speak with him. Patrick began flailing his hands and ran away from the officer. Patrick picked up an unknown object and refused the officer’s direct order to drop the weapon. The officer deployed his department-issued taser and placed Patrick under arrest. The Harris County District Attorney’s office accepted the charge of Escape on Patrick.
