On Wednesday, June 24th at 11:46 p.m., a Baytown police officer observed two vehicles speeding near Blue Heron Parkway and Sjolander Road. The officer activated the emergency lights on his patrol vehicle, which was effective in stopping one vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, later identified as Isaiah Cano, disregarded the emergency lights and continued driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle eventually came to a complete stop at the corner of E. Cedar Bayou Lynchburg and Crosby Cedar Bayou. Once Cano was out of the vehicle, the officer asked him why did he fail to stop and Cano could not provide a legal reason. The Harris County District Attorney’s office accepted the charge of Evading in a Motor Vehicle on Cano.
