BAYTOWN - At 4:30 a.m. this morning at the Watermark, Baytown Police responded to a disturbance with weapons. The ex-husband or boyfriend, not quite sure, showed up at the complainant's apartment and a disturbance ensued. During the disturbance, the suspect pulled a gun and fired at the complainant. Fortunately, he missed and the complainant and her two elementary-age children were able to flee the apartment. When officers arrived they attempted to call the suspect out of the apartment.
Since it was believed to be armed and barricaded, Baytown SWAT and Negotiators were called to the scene. At approximately 9:30 a.m. The SWAT team made entry into the apartment and found the suspect was no longer there.
There were no injuries and charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon are pending on the suspect.
