BAYTOWN - On July 15th at 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a major accident in the 6000 block of Interstate 10. Upon arrival, officers learned that a Freightliner Tractor Trailer and a Rolls Royce passenger car were traveling east on Interstate 10 when the Rolls Royce slowed with the flow of traffic. The tractor-trailer was following the Rolls Royce and as a result of following too close, the tractor-trailer rear-ended the Rolls Royce, injuring the two occupants of the car, who were subsequently airlifted to Herman Hospital to be treated for their injuries, their conditions are unknown at this time. The diver of the tractor-trailer was cited for following too close.
