A K9 Dog had a piece of the fun in apprehending the driver after a brief pursuit in Baytown

On Wednesday, November 25th at 2:07 a.m., Baytown Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Silverado on North Main Street at East James Street after the vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly and nearly colliding with another vehicle.   The driver, a 32-year-old white male, refused to stop for police and continued to flee in the vehicle. The driver continued to evade until stopping in the 900 block of South Pruett Street. The driver ignored the officer’s commands, exited the vehicle and evaded on foot.

A Baytown Police K9 was utilized and apprehended the driver.  The driver was transported to Houston Methodist Baytown for treatment due to injuries from the K9 apprehension.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges for Evading in a Vehicle.  A warrant will be filed for the driver’s arrest.
