Traffic Stop ended up with a brief Foot Chase and Two Detained


On December 9th at 4:17 p.m., officers conduced a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 600 block of Alford. During the course of the stop the passenger, identified as 35-year-old Joshua Pace, fled on foot. However after a brief foot chase he was apprehended and taken into custody. The driver, identified as 36 year old Jimmy Norris, was also placed under arrest after it was discovered he had outstanding local traffic warrants Both were transported to the Baytown Jail where Pace was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and Norris was found to be in possession of Oxycodone. Norris was charged through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Pace was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Evading Arrest.
