Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7526 Martin Luther King Boulevard


Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7526 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 11:50 p.m. on Sunday (February 9).  

The suspect, Malcolm Isiah Posey (b/m, 21), is charged with capital murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective T. Andrade reported:  

Posey forced his way into an apartment at the above address where he shot the victim and took his car keys before forcibly taking his (Posey's) ex-girlfriend from the apartment.  Posey fled the scene with his ex-girlfriend in the stolen vehicle.  Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.  

Approximately one hour later, HPD Southeast Patrol Division officers located Posey with the female victim in the 12700 block of Fuqua Street and arrested him without incident.  The female was not injured.

Houston Woman forced into a vehicle and was sexually assaulted


Houston Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Special Victims Division Sex Crimes Unit need the public's assistance locating the suspect responsible for an Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping. 
 
On Sunday, December 8, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the victim was walking from the Southwest Freeway to a store on Bissonnet Street when a black male suspect driving a silver SUV approached her.  The male asked her to get into the vehicle and when she declined, he physically forced her into the vehicle.  The suspect drove the victim to another location where he physically and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled in the silver SUV after leaving the victim in the 7800 block of Burning Hills Drive.   
 
Suspect Description: Black male, approximately 5’05” -6'00", heavy build, with a dark brown complexion.
