Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for credit card abuse.
On Saturday, January 25, 2020 at around 1:30 pm, an unknown male entered the All in One Food Mart, located at 9220 Clearwood, in Houston, Texas. The male used a credit card that had just been taken in an aggravated robbery (elderly) at the Walmart parking lot, located at 9598 Rowlett.
In the robbery incident, a 74-year-old female was loading her vehicle with groceries in the Walmart parking lot. An unknown male approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her purse. The complainant then fell to the ground and was dragged a short distance until the suspect was able to gain control of her purse. The suspect fled the scene in a black sedan. Houston PD #116081-20

Houston Woman forced into a vehicle and was sexually assaulted
Houston Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Special Victims Division Sex Crimes Unit need the public's assistance locating the suspect responsible for an Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping.
On Sunday, December 8, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the victim was walking from the Southwest Freeway to a store on Bissonnet Street when a black male suspect driving a silver SUV approached her. The male asked her to get into the vehicle and when she declined, he physically forced her into the vehicle. The suspect drove the victim to another location where he physically and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled in the silver SUV after leaving the victim in the 7800 block of Burning Hills Drive.
Suspect Description: Black male, approximately 5’05” -6'00", heavy build, with a dark brown complexion.

The Investigation into Shooting at 2150 Bentworth
Houston police are investigating the shooting of two persons that occurred at 2150 Bentworth Drive about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday (January 26).
The victims were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Kimbrough reported:
The victims were driving on South Kirkwood Road when they noticed a vehicle following them. The victims turned on Waldemar Drive and then turned again onto Bentworth Drive. The suspect vehicle then sped past them, cut them off, and before stopping in front of their vehicle. The victims stopped their vehicle in order to avoid an accident. The suspects then rolled down their front passenger window and fired multiple shots, striking both victims, before fleeing the scene. Both victims were subsequently transported to the hospital where they were treated for their wounds.
The suspects are described only as unknown black males.

The investigation into Shooting at 3501 Chimira Lane
Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 3501 Chimira Lane about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday (January 25).
The victim, Edward Johnson, 50, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Barker reported:
Mr. Johnson was standing with multiple other people outside a food mart at the above address when a silver four-door vehicle drove by the location and a suspect inside fired multiple shots. Johnson was struck one time and the other people fled the scene. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

An investigation into Shooting at 5656 Kelly Street
Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 5656 Kelly Street about 9 p.m. on Friday (January 24).
The victim, Alvin Watson, 37, drove himself to an area hospital where, at last report, he was in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer L. Thornton reported:
Officers responded to a report of a man (Watson) suffering a gunshot wound at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital at the above address. Mr. Watson was found in the parking lot by patrol officers and as he was being treated he stated a male relative had shot him. The location of the shooting is unknown.

An investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12753 Leader Street
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 12753 Leader Street about 9:05 a.m. on Saturday (January 25).
The victim, Artemio Agustin Ruiz Avila, 69, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:
Mr. Ruiz Avila was at his residence at the above address when he was shot while leaving for work. Ruiz Avila had just taken out the trash when he was approached and shot. He was able to return to his townhouse before he collapsed. Relatives called an ambulance. Prior to being transported to the hospital, Ruiz Avila told relatives a black male had shot him.
Although no items were taken from Ruiz Avila, it appears that robbery may have been the motive and he might have fought back against his attacker. Homicide detectives are asking anyone who lives in the area to check any surveillance video they might have between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on January 25.

Man who broke into a business and stole laptops
Houston Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Major Offenders Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a Burglary of a Building.
On Saturday, November 30, 2019, at approximately 9:43 a.m., a black male suspect burglarized an office building located in the 1700 block of Yorktown Street in Houston, Texas. Video surveillance captured the suspect forcing entry to the building. During the incident, the suspect stole three laptops from the business. The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction of travel.
