On January 28th officers were in the area of the 2900 block of Market Street looking for a wanted subject, 37-year-old Jonathan Parker of Baytown, who was reportedly seen in the area. Officers observed Parker walking in the area and attempted to make contact with him to place him under arrest for his outstanding warrant for Felony Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. As officers attempted to place Parker under arrest he pulled away from the officer and fled on foot. Our officer chased after Parker as he fled south between two buildings and down an alleyway. At one point Parker stumbled which allowed the officer to catch up to Parker, take him to the ground and place him in custody. Parker was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on his charges.
