BPD responded to a call of service on the 300 Blk of Travis of a report of an unwanted guest

On May 22nd at 7:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest at a residence in the 500 block of Travis. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant who advised his brother, who was not supposed to be on his property, had entered his residence through a window and demanded his debit card. When the complainant refused to comply and told the brother he was going to call the police, the brother threatened to assault the complainant, which the complainant believed to be credible threats based on past history with the brother, who was no longer on location. Officers contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and advised them of the facts of the case at which time charges of Burglary with Intent to Commit Another Felony were accepted on the brother, identified as 47 year old Paul Rogers of Baytown. About five hours later the brother returned and once again entered the residence without permission and again demanded money from the complainant with the threat of assault if he didn’t comply. Officers arrived in the area and were able to locate Paul and take him into custody. Paul was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked and charged with the previous Burglary.

This is a career criminal and the bond is set for $250,000.00. The court denied his bail. The bond is not paid for as of yet.
