Harris County DA Office accepted charges against Sanchez Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading and Felon in Possession of a Firearm

On May 14th at 12:08 a.m., officers responded to a report of a male assaulting a female and shooting at her car at the Exxon located in the 100 block of South Alexander. Officers would ultimately contact the complainant at the Watermark Apartments in the 2700 block of Ward Road at which time she advised officers that the suspect, identified as 25 year old Amado Sanchez, was in the parking lot sitting in his car. Officers attempted to make contact with Sanchez, however upon doing so Sanchez fled on foot only to be apprehended after a short foot chase. During the course of the investigation officers learned that the complainant and her boyfriend, Sanchez, were at the Exxon when the two got into an argument which turned physical, with Sanchez pushing the complainant and cursing at her. The complainant eventually stopped the car and told Sanchez to get out, which he did but not before grabbing his gun, which was in the car. As Sanchez got out of the car he fired at least one round at the driver’s door of the complainant’s car. The complainant then drove to the Watermark Apartments where she contacted the police. Sanchez was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading and Felon in Possession of a Firearm through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office
