Liftflight and 2 Medic Units Transported Victims after a Bad Accident on 146


On August 6th at 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a Major Accident at the intersection of North State Highway 146 and Lynwood Drive, involving a Ford F-150 and a Kia Optima passenger car. During the investigation officers determined the pick-up truck came off of Lynwood Drive and was struck by the passenger car, which was traveling south on SH 146. The passenger car was occupied by a 24 year old driver and three children ages 3, 4 & 10 years of age while the pick-up was occupied by two adults and two children. The occupants of the passenger car were all transported to Herman Hospital in Houston to be treated for their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. The children were air lifted while the adult driver was transported by ambulance. The driver of the pick-up was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way. The occupants of the pick-up were not injured
