Suspect wanted in question after assault in the Walmart Woodforest Bank branch


BAYTOWN - On January 27th at 5:31 p.m., officers responded to an assault that had occurred at the Woodforest Bank branch inside the Wal-Mart in the 4900 block of Garth Road. upon arrival, officers contacted the complainant who advised he was approached by a black male, who was apparently angry and accusing the complainant of stealing his cell phone while the two were in the restroom a few minutes prior. The complainant tried to tell the suspect that he did not take his phone, which made the suspect even angrier as he started shouting profanities at the complainant and knocked all of the complainant’s office accessories off of the complainant’s desk then spat in the face of the complainant. A few moments later, another customer of the store reported to have found the suspect’s phone and turned it in to the Wal-Mart Customer Service Desk. The suspect then retrieved his phone and left the scene in what appeared to be a black Mazda passenger car.

Micah booked on the outstanding warrants, charged with class C theft for the printer cartridges and Possession of a Controlled Substance through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office


On January 26th at 11:00 a.m., officers responded to a theft in progress at the Wal-Mart in the 4900 block of Garth Road. Upon arrival officers contacted  Wal-Mart Loss Prevention had a subject detained who was identified as 25 year old Micah Martinez of Baytown, after observing him take two printer cartridges of the shelf, conceal them and walk out of the store. Officers ran a computer check of Micah and learned he had multiple local warrants as well. Upon searching Micah, officers found a several small baggies which contained methamphetamine and several prescription pills inside a fanny pack Micah was wearing. Also located in the fanny pack was a digital scale and several more empty small baggies commonly used for packaging narcotics for sale. Micah was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked on the outstanding warrants, charged with class C theft for the printer cartridges and Possession of a Controlled Substance through the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.


BPD asking for public assistance in identifying the subject that shoplifted at the CVS


On January 26th at 7:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shoplifter a the CVS located in the 3900 block of Garth Road. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant and learned what appeared to be a white male, had entered the store and filled a basket with several items, valued at approximately $130.00, and left the store without paying for the merchandise. The suspect was described as wearing a blue and white baseball cap, a blue shirt with red lettering, blue jeans and white shoes. The suspect left the scene in white extended cab pickup truck that was missing the tailgate.
